I tend to think of every one of my projects as two projects because - as a former animator, I'm obsessed with model packs. For those of you who are unfamiliar a model pack is just a bunch of information on how to draw a character. Do's and Dont's, mouth shape charts, head sizes, etc.

Unfortunately, model packs as an idea aren't real. When I say that I mean, unless you're a big entertainment company with an entire department devoted to building resources like that, they are not designed or built as a means to begin work.

Models packs are made while doing work. If you look at ones from say, The Little Mermaid, you'll see they are made almost entirely of drawings from the animator while working on a scene in situ. In fact, the only place they are pre-meditated, is in product services divisions where artists are approving artwork for Scooby Doo lunchboxes and Betty Boop t-shirts.

This is from a longstanding project that I plan on working on for a very long time. One I've been planning forever and afraid to push forward on but after some recent attempts to get it off the ground, I've just decided to jumpstart it as a soap opera comic.
