Howard's outfit in this story - your standard suit vest with no shirt, sandals and bubble shorts (lol) - is the sort of ridiculousness I adore.

I really liked this 7 strip arc, so I'm posting the whole thing. Howard was single for the first five years of me drawing & writing this thing, and when I did choose to give him a boyfriend there was a lot of ramp up establishing the guy as this sort of patient but in demand, hot but unassuming, honest but aloof fantasy that countered Howard's edgy, cynical, overthinking attitude. I could never really decide if they were a good match so I just sorta made it the crux of their relationship.

I had established the Office of Queer Affairs in my first year, which was a DMV-like government agency that regulated LGBT interests and rules. So when it came time for Howard and Corey to become "official" I decided to hash out all the details of the kind of gay couple they would be in one swat - and when I say "hash out", I mean mention it and never bring it up again.
