Dev Diary #8 - Status Report & Plans 📖 (Patreon)

Dev Diary Time! 😀

Well, January has been a bit of a wild ride… The technical update went well - really glad some of the new features were so well received - and I was very pleased with how v0.2.9 turned out. And even more pleased that the response took me to 500 Patrons for the first time!!! 😍

It wasn’t all plain sailing, of course. The animation was really, really hard! I’m basically happy with the way it turned out (a few, ahem, hands disappearing into walls aside 😂) and overjoyed to have pulled it off after months of difficulties with the programs. On the other hand, it did eat up over half of total dev time for the last update! I’ll definitely be having more animations in future – and already know what the next one will be - but I will have to ration them to keep the story coming 😜 

There was also the issue of the ‘leak’ 😢– where someone posted the Lieutenant+ Early Release to a pirate site (for the first time in 13 months of development). I truly hope that this doesn’t happen again - that the person involved read my notes in the last post and understands the damage this does to the game. At the time I was pretty upset (I’ve calmed down since) and had to rush to Public Release to make sure I controlled the update delivery.

But overall I’m feeling pretty chipper! The Chronicles of Rydick Patch is coming along very nicely… I’m getting in some of the best artwork I’ve ever done, and am about halfway there (teaser below) I’m looking well on track for an early February Release –  be aware that this update is m/m content only, and will be behind a Patron-password. 

I’ll also be issuing another technical update next week (lol – I know, 3 releases in one month – but it helps me get ahead of preparations for Phase 2). This won’t be new content, just fixing a few typos and bugs, addressing some common gripes, and adding in a couple of new features like the Daemoniac and Synthaholic Screens. As you can see from the pics below, these are very much like the Alienlover Screen… a way for you to make sure you’ve enabled the content you want and (in the future) access information about species and characters 😁

Fans of f/m and futa content might be feeling a little left out so far… but be aware that I have some special New Year treats for you! 🤗 My last goals have mainly been about getting additional artistic help on board – something I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to achieve. I can now tell you that the results have been extremely promising! I’ll have a couple of detailed posts for Sergeants+ about this over the next couple of weeks... but for now I’ll just post two separate teasers from two separate artists: 😜
