I just noticed all 8 episodes are already out! So I will probably keep watching 1 per week hopefully if I can fit it in each Thursday. I will do my best!

I really enjoyed the first episode and I think they did an amazing job with the Jap dub. The original VA really did a great job

Yeah I agree with you on how Luffy feels, I think the difference in the LA to the anime/manga is that LA removes all subtlety in the story. Original and LA Luffy saves Coby and makes him achieve his dream, but original Luffy never asks Coby what he wants to be, he just says he’ll be pirate king and calls Cony annoying. Coby is inspired by Luffys actions, Luffy never babies Coby the way he does here, he only protects him when Coby stands up for himself. That aside I like the show and I can see how stuff like this happened even though Oda approved, it seems Oda got pitched the basic script and plot for each episode but didn’t see the final scripts with the dialogue, because so far for me, the dialogue is the only problem with the show

original voice is very solid ... i like japanese dub but i will always prefer the original voice in anything

Fun fact: Nami's actress, Emily Rudd, was a One Piece fan before she got cast as Nami and she's the one that has most knowledge on One Piece along with Zoro's actor, Mackenyu, who is full-blown Japanese. She's fully caught up. Her favorite anime is Made in the Abyss but she loves Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen. Another fun fact: Zoro's actor is extremely famous in Japan and has done a bunch of things there. He's Tom Holland's level of famous there.

One consistency I really like across every adaptation of OP is that your "admiration" for Zoro remains extremely strong.😛😋 Thank you for the reaction hehe! 😉
