Note: Big thank you to Matty for helping me with these last night. The internet was crazy slow, so I couldn't even get to SAO. I'll post Railgun S a bit later tonight (for level 2+).

I'll probably do one last swap tonight on my schedule for OP Manga & Bleach. I'll swop it with Tuesday's OP, SAO that I couldn't finish last night & Tsukimonogatari. If the fiber people aren't here tomorrow, then I'll do the manga and Bleach eps tomorrow night because I don't want to put it off any longer. BUT that means if they come on Wednesday, we can stream Jojos, ToG and SG xx hoping for the best!

We've finally made it to the famous Katsurap, dayo! Way, way back when we first started the reactions, I sent a list of some Japanese words/translations to you for fun (DM via discord), and among them were things like Joui, Shogun, and Bakufu. When I made that, I had certain episodes in mind, and this was one of them. "Joui" is the group, and "Jouishishi" refers to the members in that group. Crunchyroll usually uses 'Anti-Foreigner Faction' typically, although here they point out the pun at the very least. I grew up using the fansubs which leave the term untranslated, so I tend to unconsciously use Joui. (Personally, I think the fansub versions had slightly better subs for these two episodes, but meh. Joui ga Joi!) But by far my favorite of the two is the whole Zangetsu spoof. Imagine me, a big Bleach fan at the time, stumbling upon this episode while watching. The surprise really just catches you off-guard with its cleverly written dialogue and situational comedy. Sometimes, animes (especially Shonen) do some really out-there stuff. I feel like at the time, there was a lot of potential for parody of these tropes, and Gintama smartly acted on it. Nowadays, you get that a LOT, especially with the whole Isekai genre revolution - parodies upon parodies. It's become commonplace/normal for a show to make a quick reference here and there. Another thing to like is how Gintama basically has two sets of protagonists. You've got the Yorozuya/Oddjobs, and you've got their counterparts, the Shinsengumi. The author can thrust both trios into the same situation and get two completely separate routines. I love Gin, Kagura, and Shinpachi, but just as much I like Sogo, Toushi, and Kondo. You saw this writing style in the Kyubei Yagyuu arc, you see it here, and (no spoilers) you'll probably see it again in the future. Also, LOVING the cat-cameos. It's so cute. The house was bought for the cats. Now, to celebrate your new place, I invite you to enjoy some more rap!
