Ahhh, that's true, I need to keep up to date with the manga. And KT, in your review you mentioned the manga and I agree with you about reading those arcs again in the manga, mainly Ebisu's arc, because they changed the order of some events and consequently had to change/cut important things (!!!!)

About how Hiyori figured out Yato's real name: Japanese language has 3 alphabets, right? Kanji, hiragana and katakana. "Yato" is written with a kanji 夜 (ya) and everyone thought that the second character was the katakanaト (to), but Hiyori is really good with kanji, and she realized that in fact it was the kanji卜 (boku). What's more, the "kana" in "katakana" can mean "borrowed name".

It isn't a masterpiece but it is an enjoyable watch. Alot of your issues (which are indeed logical, some parts didn't affect me either) comes down to adaptation. Squeezing alot of content into 13 episodes is gonna lose alot of it's depth. Noragami falls into that weird category of being rushed, but it's not confusing. It's important plot points are there and emotion can be felt, but that extra depth and cut content could've smoothed it over and made for some great water works. Yato and Ebisu's dynamic was strengthed better in the manga. Ebisu's death however is a weird thing for me. Both versions are good, so idk which one would've worked better for emotions with audiences. In the manga, after coming out of the underworld Yato was passed out for the whole thing. He passed out believing he saved Ebisu only to be hit hard by the harsh truth of his death by bumping into his reincarnated version. That's all I got anyway. It's true the potential for more is there, but it did well enough to enjoy and follow the story perfectly. The OVA's, majority of them are indeed canon but they don't push the plot much. Instead they're more character focused and full of shenanigans lol. Especially between Yato and Bishamon.

I watch noragami at 2016 or 17 I'm not sure but I finish both season in a week so had forget that this guy was the father and I was (SON OF A BITCH😱) Great reaction as always I had so much fun!! noragami was a beautiful journey and you company make it even better thanks you 💖
