Episode 24 is on IMDB's best TV episodes of 2019 list on 3rd place 1st place is S3EP17 of AoT btw For me personally Askeladd is the favourite character of 2019 A great finale that's for sure

Askeladd is my favorite character too and the animation and voice acting was great for the finale. I remember when I first got to this part in the manga and it said "End of Prologue" and I was fucking shook.

Oh episode 24 no star episode?😲

It sucks that I couldn’t watch it live with you. But it was such an amazing finale. Askeladd is probably my 2nd favourite character in the series just behind Thorfinn. I’m so excited for season 2, the manga continues with the incredible storytelling and character development, so I hope they adapt season 2 as well as they adapted season 1. P.s. one small detail that people tend to miss in the episode, is that Askeladd comes dressed like a Roman. That just makes his name reveal and him proclaiming that he is the rightful king way more badass for me.

Wow, what an absolute masterpiece! For the first time in decades (yes), something has pushed One Piece from my Throne. This story is just phantastic and well rounded, the anime absolutely wonderful. I watched this on your patreon on a whim, didn't even care for the reaction too much, just got immersed and binged through it. It is rare that a manga/anime features a hero who is absolutely sidelined by the true main character (Askeladd). What a refreshing way of storytelling! The embedding into histrorical events with real characters adds a lot of value as well. Finally, the voices of Madara, Uvogin and Sasuke couldn't have been used more perfectly here. If there is a grain of salt, then it is the apparent existence of a part 2. This story is already finished, I don't know how they are going to top this. Sure, they could sail to Vinland and continue the history of England until the year 1066, but why? The faraway land could just be left to the reader's imagination and remain a dream.
