Hi everyone!! I just wanted to make sure you were all aware that as level 2+ patrons you can join my Patreon-only Discord Server! 

The community is really great, because: 

- we talk about anime 

- we talk about manga (and games and much more) 

- we play waifu wars

- on Monday and Wednesday I'll post a "Question of the day" which is really fun to take part of

- Discord is where I am quickest at replying to DMs so that's a bonus hehe 

- Thanks to Peregrine (and Athsuran said he can help too) we're planning on streaming certain reactions through Discord so that you can watch it with other patrons. There will be a chat where you can talk about my reaction without me seeing so that if I make predictions that are right/wrong, you can talk about it without spoiling me. I think this is an awesome idea and I hope more people will enjoy watching with others this way :D we are still working on an "unofficial official" schedule for this/deciding on which reactions we'll be streaming so I'll keep you up to date 

HOW TO JOIN

Click your icon in the top right corner of the Patreon page > click on the "apps" button on the right from "my user profile" > There will be a "connect" button which will allow you to connect your Patreon to your Discord

It should automatically send you an invite and assign your role. You can take your time to look around, and (if you want) you can let us know a little about yourself in the #introduce-yourself chat. You don't have to take part in conversations if you don't want of course, but there is also a memes chat and art and cosplay so it's still a fun place to hang around!! 

Even if you stop being a patron, you can stay in the discord (although you won't have access to the videos chat where I share my full reactions). But you will have access to everything else and you can still DM me and talk to everyone and play waifu wars etc :)

I wish I could feel more comfortable so I could join discussions... It really seems fun... But I just watch you guys chatting, like a creep 😂

for people who are having second thoughts because they are not into chatting, it's not really required to talk. Reading people's conversation and point of views during your free time is actually fun. Plus early access to reaction links. It does not cost additional $ so why not have it a try 😁

I don't like Discord and I don't like chatting in general. And even if sometimes I like reading what someone else has to say, when I'm entering it there are too many messages and most of the time I don't even understand what they are talking about. I don't like waifu wars either, honestly I think it's a lost of time. I like the idea of the streaming though, so maybe you could announce the streaming on Patreon too before starting it? For all of those who have Discord but don’t use it?

it's not streaming like live-streaming, I won't be able to do that until November/December when we get Fiber. it's streaming through discord so patrons can watch my reactions together.

I was a member of the discord for a while, but since I have discord active at work, I kept having to mute more and more of the channels on Animaechan discord. Eventually I just had to mute the whole thing, because the notifications were going off all the time :D It's not my fault your discord is so damned active and lively. I think it's great and I hope you all enjoy it though.

Thanks for the Discord Update Instructions. Turns out my Discord that I had on Patreon had a old 4 digit number #. No wonder why I never got invites or synced roles

You can set up your discord so it only send you notifications if you are tagged in messages, there is even feature to make it ignore @everyone and @here. if you wish to avoid getting notification messages. And there is always "do not disturb" mode for when you are at work <3

Yes, it was because I changed my 4 digit number to a custom number and Patreon didn't know that. Re-authorizing patreon to my discord synced it with my current Discord ID.
