Watch my reaction to S2 E1 & 2 on Google Drive or Dailymotion

Wow it's been a minute!! Definitely going to make time to watch this YouTube recap video of season 1. Thanks Paddy for sharing! I'll try to watch this every Sunday, but it might work well to do 2 at a time like I did for most of Slime Isekai S3. Gonna think about it...

I'm not sure if the reactions to season 1 are still on Patreon, since they are so old. Looks like there's mostly just DM links left... I'll post Season 1 reactions here for anyone who never got a chance to see:

Finally! It’s been so long between S1 and S2 of the anime. We’re finally here. Many are the questions at the start of season 2 but…we can only keep watching (keep climbing the tower) to find most answers. ;) As for Bam/Yoru name, his full name WAS technically revealed in season 1, but you’d have to be pretty eagle eyed to notice it. Most of the time he’s just called Yoru in Japanese (his name, meaning “night”, is a sorta untranslatable pun with Bam meaning night or chestnut 🌰 in Korean, hence why some characters think he looks “tasty”). But you can see his full name on Hatz and Shibisu’s “friend list” where his team members are all named and there it says “the 25th Bam”. Still a bit weird of anilist to do that. I agree.

The original webtoon is in general a bit more literal with stuff like that. For example as you did see on anilist in your reaction with Maschenny. Her full name is just explicitly spelled out on the page in the comic, while they only called her Maschenny in the anime. And you might want to rewatch the conversation between the 3 princesses after you’ve seen the S1 recap.

Since you’ve talked a bit about pacing and how many manga chapters were covered per episode for other animes, would you be interested in knowing how many manhwa chapters were adapted per anime episode? (Just the amount of chapters. Nothing more.)

Adaptation notes: - Anime S2E1 (manhwa S2 Ep 0-4 and parts of Ep 5) 5 whole + 1 half chapters ≈ 5.5 chapters, where the scenes with Bam and Hwaryun were (reanimated) recap and chapter 0 was the prologue part where Yuri visits Repellista and bumps into Maschenny - Anime S2E2 (manhwa S2 parts of Ep 5, 6-8 and parts of 9) 3 chapters + 2 half chapters ≈ 4 chapters I think mainly first episode is more chapters due to the fighting? Which takes up more panels. Keep in mind not all chapters have equal length. I am not going to bother comparing that except maybe note when a chapter is exceptionally long or short. You read it online (free on webtoon) by scrolling continuously, so “number of pages” is hard to estimate, and panel size can vary quite a bit, especially in fights. (Which is a cool thing, when some panel are loooong, gives a sense of scale of things.)
