SALIATOS Season 2 Episode 2 - Bene's Tormentors (Patreon)

Here it is finally.. Thanks for the patience!!

Here's episode 1 if you missed it  

This is a cut with temp tracks for the music, and later once all the episodes are finished, Dylan will be doing final music. For now these are suggestive tracks that might resemble something close to what the final music will do, but we might decide a slightly different creative direction later. But yeah... besides that, everything else is final.

This one was really difficult for me, just because of content. A lot of this season (of both saliatos and my life lmao) is about acceptance + recovery + trying to get better + move on to the next stage. But that requires some groundwork and this episode required a lot of scavenging of my insides. I first thought of Bene and Gerard and Jared back in 2018 when I had just gotten out of a longterm relationship that ended pretty poorly. I didn't really notice what I was doing at the time, but in hindsight I think I was weirdly processing it. I decided to push that connection more in this episode. So needless to say this episode was difficult to make. Hahaha. 

If you rewatch the scenes with Bene and Gerard in Barber I hope you'll be able to see the kinda subtle hints at how their relationship is actually going. I tried to have them communicate it kinda passive agressively. lol

On to episode 3, which will be a bit more pleasant to make. This one's about our friend Barber, who now works in the mountains as a firewatch. They go back inside their own eyeball (voluntarily this time) and explore. Has some guest animation by my friends Harrison Wyrick and Parker Davis.
