When I hear an airplane approaching,

My first instinct is that it is Her.

I feel an immediate and overwhelming sense of guilt. 

At this very moment, She is here to punish me. 

Everything I’ve ever done wrong flashes before my eyes in quick succession, 

Right now, She is cracking open the sky. She has brought her horde of giants to punish me, and everyone I care about. It will be a swift and horrific bloodbath and I deserve it. The pain will be immense and eternal. 

But just as certain as the panic, the airplane reveals itself, and continues to fly. 

And I forget, and go back to my life as usual, until the next time.
