My heart will go on and on from Titanic, I think that's nineties but I could be wrong.

Anonymous

Anything on No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom album.

Dusty

Hmmm... Push by Matchbox 20 is pretty 90s. I feel like that might translate in a funny way. Barbie Girl? Not my favorite, but might also be a good one.

Stephen Staver

something by Backstreet Boys (As Long As You Love Me, or Larger Than Life) Or by Aqua (Doctor Jones!)

Anonymous

Oh, the songs of my childhood. Tubthumping by Chumbawamba and Zombie by the Cranberies. The first would just be hilarious to even try, I think. Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera probably need to be in there, too. And if you want to attempt it: One Week by Barenaked Ladies.

Marlo Delfin Gonzales

The most quintessential 90s song to me is Two Princes by the Spin Doctors. ..but I would be remiss not to mention Everlong by the Foo Fighters.

Bubblegum

I love "I Will Always Love You," and "Baby One More Time." "Can't Touch This," I second "Larger Than Life." Also, "Hero."

"Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio. "Stupid Girl" by Garbage. "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter. "Naked Eye" by Luscious Jackson. "The Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson. "Tonight, Tonight" by The Smashing Pumpkins. Also I second the suggestions of "Baby One More Time," "Can't Touch This," "Tubthumping" and "Zombie."

David Pollard

Peace & Love, Inc. was one of my favorites (v. early 90's) Though it's technically an 80's song I image that Google could do amazing things to the Indigo Girl's "Closer To Fine" it already starts to textually dense that it offers Google LOTS of ways to get it wrong.

Anonymous

"What's Up" (4 Non Blondes), "Three Little Pigs" (Green Jellÿ), "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" (Green Day)

Anonymous

All Star, one that always comes up sometimes is Blue by Eiffel 65

Sweet Surrender or Building a Mystery from Sarah McLachlan, Dark Horse by Amanda Marshall, Everybody by Backstreet Boys, Dangerous and Joy Ride by Roxette, Damn I Wish I Were Your Lover and As I Lay Me Down by Sophie B Hawkins, anything by Green Day, and just because my cousin was in the band, anything by Bikini Kill :)

I'm thinking U2 - songs like "The Fly", "Hold me, kiss me, thrill me, kill me", "Mysterious Ways" and "Even better than the real thing", take a pick ;) Green Day - "Basket Case" Spice Girls - "Wannabe" Nirvana - "Smells like teen spirit" Aqua - any of the hits really, it's all fun nonsense :) "Barbie girl" or "Dr Jones" for sure That's all I can think of right now.

Borg Lord

Well, just to name some off the top of my head: Bush songs: "Everything Zen", "Comedown", "Machinehead", etc. Nirvana songs: "On a Plane", "Heart-Shaped Box", "Lithium", etc. Smashing Pumpkin songs: "Today", "Bullet With Butterfly Wings", "1979", etc. Blink-182 songs: "I Miss You", "Adam's Song", "What's My Age Again", etc. "Criminal" by Fiona Apple Some Red Hot Chili Peppers songs, including "My Friends", "Under the Bridge", "Snow (Hey Oh)" Might as well throw in all the Green Day

The 90s classic Mmm bop by Hanson

Anonymous

Wouldn't be 90s without rhythm is a dancer by snap :P

Anonymous

"Lightning Crashes" by Live. "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode. Someone else already mentioned "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Can you do the 90s without the Spice Girls' "Wannabe"? I don't think so.

Anonymous

Good ridance (Time of your life) by Green Day

Anonymous

I'm not picky on specific songs, but include some Backstreet Boys, S Club 7, Savage Garden, Spice Girls and I'm happy!

Anonymous

Sooo many, lol. Baby One More Time - Britney Spears; Wonderwall - Oasis; All My Life - K-Ci & JoJo; I Want It That Way - Backstreet Boys; No Scrubs - TLC; Waterfalls - TLC

Barbie Girl by Aqua is almost a big must, and what about Hey Stoopid or Lost in America by Alice Cooper? ^^

Anonymous

Hope Ive got the right era. Eternal Flame by Atomic Kitten. Whole Again by Britanny Spears I think? Hero by Enrique Ingleseas?

Clay

"Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve could be hilarious, especially if you can recreate the music video. Also, it wouldn't be the '90s without at least one hard techno track. "Born Slippy .NUXX" by Underworld is a classic with trippy lyrics that'll be hard to translate.

Clay

Oh, and how could nobody have mentioned "Losing My Religion" by R.E.M.?

Stefan "MaskinJunior" Ivarsson

Los Del Rio - Macarena, Nobody really payed any attention to the lyrics, try to read it without blushing, https://youtu.be/gwWRjvwlLKg. I also grew up with Aqua, and local Swedish music. The 90:th want such a good music era for Sweden. back then, Rednex - Cotton Eye Joe https://youtu.be/VcDy8HEg1QY was considered good taste.

McHammer - Too Legit to Quit & U Can't Touch This

Anonymous

I'd love to see some of the iconic tv theme songs from the era. I probably heard 'Fresh prince of Bel-air' more times than any other song in those days. Some others might include 'Saved by the Bell' or even 'Ducktales' and... ok, this might be a whole other project :P

Anonymous

Spice Girls' Wannabe is obviously very important.

Anonymous

MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This, you'd look cute in parachute pants.

Anonymous

Aqua - Barbie Girl, I'd love to hear what the GTS translation would be.

Anonymous

Britney Spears - Baby One More Time, hey, I like Britney, wanna make something of it?

Stefan "MaskinJunior" Ivarsson

Can you guess wich 90:th song this is, hint it is from 1995, before translated thru Swedish, Icelandic, Ukrainian ,Uzbek and other languages, You and I We to be together all the time, every day, I am, of course, I lost my best friend I do not believe It appears that in the end It seems, if you lose And this is the I don't know not to mention I know what you said, In this way, to stop the demonstration Do not vouch for me not to mention I believe I have reasons for not Do not vouch for me memories Well, they can give But some of them strong fear After his death, as you love me With his head in his hands I sat down and cried, not to mention I know what you said, In this way, to stop the demonstration Do not vouch for me (no, no, no) not to mention I believe I have reasons for not Do not vouch for me this is the end I think that we need to stop if one is ... You die, and I see ...? not to mention I know what you said, In this way, to stop the demonstration Do not vouch for me (no, no, no) not to mention I believe I have reasons for not Do not vouch for me Do not vouch for me! I know what you said, In this way, to stop the demonstration Not to mention, Not to mention, Not to mention, Oh, you know what I mean And because I do not need I, too, you know I, too, you know I know Oh, la la la la la la la la la la la la I can, rojhat son Hush, Hush Hush, Hush Hush Baby Do not vouch for me Hush, Hush Hush Hush Baby Silence, silence, unbearable to me, to me,
