Here is a new song I wrote last weekend that I think has some really solid bones and I'm excited to share it with people.  I messed up a bunch in the voice memo but that's ok xD.  Let me know what you think!

Holding my breath, but a lonely sound escapes

You kiss my shoulder out of worry

Several hours later I finally wake up

To flowers in a red plastic cup

You’d placed them on the kitchen table and left me to stare

at the door you left unlocked

If you’re gonna wear me down

Wear me down slowly

I know it will all catch up with me

When you get home you apologize, waiting for an “it’s ok”

But your little act of courage instead meets my disdain
