The time is now and the day is here….

We have switched to monthly!!!  DON’T FREAK OUT: you will see two charges this month.  The monthly system charges at the beginning of the month, while the other system is after the month is over.  So if you were a Patron in December, you’ll see your charge for December and January this month.  After that it will just be at the beginning of each month!

Why are we switching?  I’ll be trying to do 2 videos a week!  I’m also starting to do more sponsored videos that I don’t want to charge directly for.  The level of charge would get really inconsistent month to month, and I would rather for all of our sanity, that it remains the same each month.  

If you have been contributing to me per video, as in you haven’t capped your pledge, I HAVE NEW REWARDS so you can pledge closer to a consistent level that you are comfortable with, and receive even more rewards than you used to from me.  Winnnn!

But before we get into these new rewards:

Little Updates

A very exciting update is that Team Malinda over here is growing.  I’ve brought on some extremely talented friends to help write an EP for this year!!  Hannah, who has co-written with me the original songs you’ve seen already, has become my right hand in helping me find where I want to go with original content.  I have also signed with a manager.  This company has an amazing track record, and it has been a long and fascinating process freelancing with them for a while and then making the decision to become a client, and they have already been extraordinary.  These are such exciting steps for me.

And finally, a big creative update in addition to making more videos, I want to do more in terms of variety.  Google Translate Sings will forever be the centerpiece of my channel, but I’m starting to come up with new ways to incorporate translation into different kinds of videos, as well as writing original comedy and pop songs.  With all of this in mind, we are planning on doing 1-2 live shows this year in the US (possibly UK as well), with a solid plan for a tour in 2019.  I’m really starting to find my voice this year, and that feels super awesome.
