This commission was completed about two weeks ago, but was in the works for a while. It's quite a big piece, and stretched my abilities in a lot of ways, but I am really grateful to the client for ordering a piece with such a cool idea, and it was quite fun to work on it for them. c:

This was a real tough one to do, since I had to design the spider robot myself, using references from other robot creatures in the game. I looked at 3D models of the robots to really visualize the aesthetics of the composite machinery, so I could come up with something that looked like it fit in that universe. I had to balance that, however, with being practical with my time and staying within the bounds of the commission, because I could technically spend hours and hours just drafting up a spider robot, and never get to actually drawing it, much less Aloy and the variants.

Overall, I'm happy with this piece, but because it was done right on the edge of my technical ability, I can see myself improving beyond this quite quickly, which is how the cutting edge of any skillset works. c:

Holy fu**ing sh*t!!! And again a great artwork. This is just awesome. And I really want to see your robot creation in the next game of this series <3 Played HZD very late on PC but I fell in love with Aloy so much and it's nice to see her here. I freaking love the look on her face and even if it's not intended I sort of see something like joy, maybe even pleasure in the bigger picture and this is something I lways love in tickling pictures. Thank you so much for this

Woah, you had a lot of details going on here and I can see why it may have taken a while! The enemy looks like it fits into Aloy's world as something we could fight and be worry some do so! Awesome work man!
