Harley Quinn -- 12/1/20 Exclusive (Patreon)

Here's Harley Quinn! I wanted to do the new costume from The Suicide Squad, since I'm kind of burnt out on the booty-shorts and fishnets costume, and she didn't really have an interesting wardrobe in Birds of Prey. This one actually looks very much like a costume, and harkens back to the classic one-piece spandex, with the jester hat, with the red and black colors. I think her costume in the upcoming game also looks similar, so that's fun! That's probably going to be the first DC comics game I get -- I never did play the Arkham games.

I'm really trying to work on my painting skills, and relying less on lineart; there's not a lot of skin exposure here, but I've just been testing the waters on areas like her chest. I've been floored by the art of Aroma Sensei, and that's really inspired me to work on painting anatomy well, without crutching on things like clothes and accessories to "fill" the space.

Not a ton of background detail in this one, I know, but I just couldn't come up with anything interesting or suitable for her, at least not in time for the 1st. I might do something a little more robust for the 15th of December, so stay tuned! Another announcement post coming up soon.
