Noir Claire Redfield (Resident Evil) (Patreon)

Not much to say here, other than I love this alternate costume from Resident Evil 2 Remake -- Claire in her "Noir" bonus outfit.

I'm going to take some time soon to start doing studies again. It's easy to get swept up in the never-ending torrent of Patreon content and commissions, and if I don't make an active effort to learn new things and improve, my skills start to stagnate. Sure, you can see improvement even by just doing the same thing over and over, but those returns tend to be small. The fastest, most generous way to see improvement on any one thing is to focus on it, and studies are a great example.

It's not always as straightforward as attempting those studies, however. I can understand how something looks "off", but actually executing on improving it can be tricky. This is where familiarity with your tools comes in. I'm always on the lookout for better brushes, textures, and techniques. It's hilarious how I have gone years doing something the "hard" way, only to find that Photoshop has a really easy, straightforward alternative to achieve the same or better results.

All that to say, we'll be having more studies from now on. ^_^
