About Amirian Curse Domination Skill (Patreon)
Content
To dominate,
or not to dominate,
here's the real question ^^
These days I'm adding some basic dialogs for Lilith and hopefully more drafts and poses before the animated scenes we all want to see, plus a few more options in the tickle mingames. Also there's a littie UI window re-design I hope you like ;)
I've been talking with LJ about the domination skill....
The issue
Due to the increase of enemies in the game, and the potential possibilities to give them back their own medicine, the domination skill is driving the development to some awkward workarounds by messing with the core code...
Let's say we cast domination skill over any kind of enemy (not all of them would work)
I'd need to inflict some damage to the target, I'd need to care about tons of conditions about the party members, the lust score ... the remaining enemies around ...
It wouldn't make sense we "dominate" a target with all her mates around watching it xD
The solution
So ... here's a new vanilla-friendly workaround, easier and nicer, respectful with the game mechanics, so no need to break in the core with odd hacks ...
Switching (removing) the Domination Skill, by the Domination Event, would help me to focus on the contents and animations, which is what we want after all ;)
Once the party wins a battle, stay aware about the ActionKeys as usual, to pass the test and grab your target! She's all yours (the others may escape), and you've got here the chance to interrogate her for your profit ...
- Open some new questline?
- Reveal important information?
- Get some extra coins, special item or recipes?
- Get XP?
- More story-friendly
- And of course, raise up Anne's Lust Score!
How it works?
The behaviour within the domination event would be exactly the same, as simple as playing it just after defeating the target, providing a satisfying vanilla-fully-supported reward, and would save us form messy mechanics which could end up with more time debugging.
What do you think about?
I'll feature this change for testing in these next releases, with potential rollback if something goes wrong.
