Friends, Romans, countrymen: a wild video appears!

Thank you, as always, for your patience. I have handed over my book draft to my new editor, and so have had the brain space to make a video, hooray! I hope you like it.

Unfortunately my brain is mush right now, so I don't have anything witty to say, but I hope you're all having a lovely July. I've got a short that's scheduled to go up on the 31st, I hope you like that too, but...I will see you in the comments but otherwise some time in August. :)

I'm hoping to get lots of footage when I go to shoot my fight reel in early August at the Malthouse, as well as the finished product that is the professionally shot and edited fight.

And at some point I will have finished revising the book and I'll make some more long videos!

At some point XD

William Thatcher's iPhone Armour | A Knight's Tale

He's just so SHINY, all right? Hope you enjoy this look at A Knight's Tale in a weird hybrid Stuff You Like/armour review kind of fashion. Zac's channel: https://youtube.com/zacevansjouster

this video has been weighed, it has been measured and it has been found excellent

Congrats on getting the new draft to your editor!

I have been put off watching this movie previously on the grounds of "hollywood butchering history" again... But having seen your video I now want to see it just for the hairstyles...

It's so exciting to hear the book updates! Take your time, but I'd be telling fibs if I said I'm not itching to read it all! :)

Love that movie! Once you realize that the anachronisms are SO deiberate and just go with the flow, it's a very fun, sweet movie! I'm so glad you invited Zack to explain the armor. He gave so much information that I hadn't picked up before. Very interesting! By the way, I've always loved his cameo as the illustrator in The Fantasy Heroine. That startled look cracks me up every time! Happy to hear about your new editor getting the new draft. Any progress is encouraging. Writing a good book is hard! I hope you get to enjoy this summer!!!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed the drafts so far, and I hope that my new editor will help me polish it up to make it...umm...nice and shiny? Not sure where I was going with that metaphor. :)

For some reason I can't see your reply! The notice did show me that I misspelled Zac. My apologies for the excessive K!

I actually just watched this the other day and told my roommate that while I wouldn’t use it for any sort of credit of historical accuracy, it was a fun story. I love your armor reviews and recommend them to pretty much everyone (to eternal eye rolls from friends who aren’t nearly as into armor as myself lol)

Thank you so much for doing this one! Historically accurate? Not a chance. Fun, feel good movie? Dang Skippy! And I learned something new! I've watched this movie a dozen times or more and never noticed the stripped out back plate on Will. Very cool. Thanks Jill!

I think the issue with William Thatcher's shiny new armor that your expert was referring to (i.e. the reason he would not wear it) is that the front of his neck is completely exposed. This makes it really easy to move his head around, but pretty dangerous when you have a rigid pole that is heading right towards your body with a high probability of glancing up into your neck.

Legitimately my favorite movie of all time 😭 so happy you decided to cover it!!

I don't understand, somehow I always receive these emails three days later when it's online anyway?

Impressive turnaround!

JillBearup

Ah, that's because early access is an Early Bear Tier thing, and you're on a different tier, so you get them when they go public!

YEAY! and YEAY! and YEAY! new video, significant progress on the book and upcoming short in one update? You really have been busy! 💜
