Isn't it a tradition that you get hit on the head whenever you do stage combat?

I must've seen this movie more than 30 years ago (when I was in primary school, so maybe even 35 years ago). I don't remember the vessel or the pestle or any of that (probably because I didn't know English at that age and I read the subtitles more than I actually listened to the conversation), but I do remember how snapping of fingers switched the hero from bumbling to awesome and back again.

Thank you so much for another fun film analysis! Wishing you a wonderful time, Ms Half-way-to-a-million-acolytes...

Reminds me of the story about Jacky Chan where the actors/stuntpeople he fought were 'good' but either hit him too often or made him feel unsafe (don't remember it very well anymore and the google search was not very helpful ...).

That was very enjoyable! I don't specifically remember watching the film but it's familiar enough that I probably have :) <br> British people of a certain age will remember 'Allo 'Allo's wordplay - the candle with the handle, the jug with the drug, the gateau for the chateau - which is very much in the same vein.

Ah, and now we see from whence came the name Hawkhurst.

Ah, memories of afternoons at my Gran’s watching old films :-)

I know I've seen this movie but it was an EXTREMELY long time ago and I remember it not at all! Time for a rewatch, I think!

Awesome that your messages are working again, and that the file got to export at last!

One of my faves. Him taking the babe around mooning all to show the royal mark.
