I really enjoy The Most Unlikely of Companions by yarnandtea on AO3. It's a Dragon Age 2 fanfic, Merill/Sebastian Vael, and really sells the pair well to the point that they're inescapably OTP for me now. Fair warning, there's some NSFW bits in the later chapters that get rather explicit, but it's a minor part of the overall work. I suppose it's a bit niche since so many people give DA2 a bad rap, but the character work in that game was spot-on.

I'd actually like to ask if anyone has ever encountered either of these two fanfic ideas: 1) Doctor Who/Being Erica crossover with Erica Strange being the Doctor's new companion and the Doctor being Erica's new patient. I once found a very short crossover fic which had Erica encountering Rose Tyler, but that didn't really scratch my itch. Alternatively, Being Erica/Orphan Black crossover where Sarah Wexler is a Leda clone. Again, I think I found one fic about this but it was rather brief. 2) Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice And Fire in the modern day. By this I don't mean the characters from ASOAIF or GOT in a more modern day setting (although i guess that would be interesting too), but extrapolating the plot of the book /TV series to see what Westeros is like several hundred years in the future.

I have no idea who Erica is, so cannot help. But I'm sure there are some GOT fans around... I find the worst thing is when you want a specific fic and you discover that you might just need to write it yourself. Boo. :)
