July announcements, August changes + Stream schedule (Patreon)

Hey everyone! July is here and it's finally summer. We don't get a whole lot of sun where I live, so I like to enjoy it as much as I can. And we'll be celebrating this month with a summer pin-up theme! Pretty much anyone qualifies for this one, so animation and painting nomination tiers can go wild with their choices.

As I mentioned in my last post, some major changes are coming to my Patreon in August that I need to prepare for now. The biggest one is that I am cutting the number of sketch request tier slots in half from 30 to 15, and raising the price from $25 to $30. There are a number of reasons I have come to this decision, and it's only fair that I explain them all here.

As my Patreon grew and my life got busier, sketch requests have been slowly squeezing my monthly schedule to the breaking point where it's become a stressful frenzy to keep up with all my obligations. I have always enjoyed making sketch requests, but the unfortunate truth is that they take up way too much of my time - not just in streaming them, but also in creating alts, private sketches, touch-ups, and just managing them in general. Over the years I had hoped that I would get faster at making them, but as I have improved and have higher standards for myself, that never panned out. In fact, nowadays they take me longer than ever.

Because of this, it's been difficult for me to make more time for other projects both inside and outside of Patreon. My younger self was convinced that once I got to this point I'd be able to juggle all these things, but I underestimated just how much work I was trying to cram in to a month. When my Patreon was much smaller, this setup made more sense. But I want a majority of my time and creative energy to be invested in art and animation that everyone can participate in, and create more content that brought most of you here to begin with, and I feel this is a necessary step in making this a reality.

With the reduced workload of sketch requests, in August I will be experimenting with new content by adding a 5th community-selected art or animation to what we currently have. This will bring the total number of guaranteed reward posts to 6: 

• Animation
• Patron's Pick 2nd place sketches
• Patron's Pick 1st place painting
• Idea Box art 
• Sketch Request gallery
• New piece

As for what it will look like exactly I'm not sure yet, and I am open to ideas. One idea I did have was to split the painting or animation reward into SFW and NSFW sections, meaning there would always been one guaranteed NSFW piece every month. If you have any thoughts, please share them with me!

If you are interested in keeping your sketch request slot, here's what you'll need to do: 

For 3 days starting on Saturday the 1st of August, I will open 5 slots per day in the new sketch request tier at 3PM PST. I will not make a post about this, so please set a reminder/alarm for yourself and check my Patreon membership page at that time to claim a slot.

The old sketch request tier will be deleted, so if you should choose to stay with my Patreon please be sure to select a new reward tier. If not, I totally understand and thank you for the support you have given me.

I hope that my explanation has been clear and I apologize for the huge wall of text, but I felt everything here was necessary to say.
