Hello everyone!

The day has come! I can finally introduce you to a little project that has been going on behind the scenes for quite a while. :D

Over the last few months, I've been in contact with Remotely Chaotic who is not only a patron of mine but also a programmer. Ever since my first game, he's been working on a standalone software for creating and playing games like mine. After months of Remotely Chaotic working on the code and me giving feedback, the first version is now ready for you guys!

You can download JOIP Engine here!

Currently, there are three major advantages over the existing JOIP platforms like Imgur or the EOS Editor:

  • It's offline. Since the games are downloadable files, you can play them without internet connection after you downloaded them.
  • It's independent. The EOS Editor, which is the editor I use for my games, is part of a bigger website called Milovana with its own community. That of course brings some problems. For example, Milovana has been having internal server issues for the last week, meaning that Lojack was only able to publish Hentai Mix Snakes and Ladders: Gate yesterday, a week after the intended release date. If the editor is a standalone, independent software, something like that can't happen.
  • It allows for more types of media files. With the EOS Editor, you can only use JPGs and MP3s for your games. In Remotely Chaotic's JOIP Engine, you can also add GIFs and videos which opens amazing new possibilities. I've prepared a demo project for you which shows how GIFs and videos look in the JOIP Engine.

The system for creating games is also quite different. It can be quite difficult to get started at first but luckily Remotely Chaotic has created an introduction video which explains the game editor in under ten minutes.

Of course, the software is still in a very early stage, meaning the interface isn't really polished yet and technical issues can occur.

To see the JOIP Editor in action, it comes ready to play with my very first game, the XXL MLP JOIP. To play it, just click on "play", select the MLP JOIP and click "open".

Have fun playing around with this new software! If you have any opinions or questions, you can send me or Remotely Chaotic a message any time. We look forward to your feedback! ^^

Will future projects only be done through the editor and no longer on the browser based platform?

Oh no, the JOIP Engine is a promising and interesting project for the future but I'll stick with the browser based EOS Editor for now. However, if I have a game idea for which I need videos, I'll definitely use that advantage of the JOIP Engine. ^^
