When I was driving my mother around to her appointments today and helping her out (she doesn't have a license), I had some time between points when she was in seeing doctors or doing physical therapy to think about a few things, and a thought came to mind.

What do you think would be the coolest Isekai when the protag generally has minimal interaction with people and is more about surviving and building up resources to survive in a wild area with super-powerful mythical monsters?

Just something that was on my mind and what you see as being the coolest environment with creatures in it.

My thoughts on this particular series (even though I have too much to write and will have to shelve it for a while) is it takes place in the same world system I’ve outlined for Veil of Chaos, but the person was summoned to this world by a near dead lesser goddess called the Raven Queen who tied her soul to this man and so if she dies and is not fed as a sort of portable dungeon core then he loses his connection to the system. He can gain feats by killing monsters in the post-apocalyptic event of just after the Shattering (800 or so years before the start of Veil of Chaos) when all the reincarnates destroyed the world in a massive conflict, leaving everything in ruin and people having to pick up the pieces. From the poll, my thoughts are it would be cool to have him reincarnate in an underground cavern that connects to the Darkvein, and the only exit above is actually in the deep ocean with crazy sea monsters above. Basically, keep the leech goddess alive by feeding her souls from monsters and using her Core Forging ability to survive, but every time he wants to craft something, she has to take on the Dungeon Core form, but she has a sort of autoimmune disease, so the spawned monsters attack her which is actually her power, so it comes in waves he has to defend her from herself. Useless dying goddess that he has to save to survive xD Edit: Oh, maybe a false highlands that was crafted by one of the dead reincarnates as a sanctuary that sees him as an enemy, and when he finally makes it to the borders, he discovers he's in an underwater caving system underneath the ocean and has to learn how to handle the sealife since the Darkvein is too powerful for him below and the previous place is collapsed, flooded with water. Interesting ideas xD
