A Change In Writing Schedule (Patreon)

Due to life schedule changes, I will get straight to the point about the schedule and talk a bit later in the post. I know these posts can come with some dread. I hope you understand. o7

Monday:

1. Write The Oscillation.

2. Give The Oscillation to editors to edit through the night.

Tuesday:

1. Go through TO edits made through the night & day.

2. Release The Oscillation in the afternoon (12 p.m. to 5 p.m. MST).

3. Write Pokesync.

4. Give Pokesync to editors to edit through the night.

Wednesday:

1. Go through Pokesync edits made through the night & day.

2. Release Pokesync in the afternoon (12 p.m. to 5 p.m. MST).

3. Write A Tail's Misfortune.

4. Give A Tail's Misfortune to editors to edit through the night.

Thursday:

1. Go through A Tail's Misfortune edits made through the night & day.

2. Release A Tail's Misfortune in the afternoon (12 p.m. to 5 p.m. MST).

3. Write Undying Empire.

4. Give Undying Empire to editors to edit through the night.

Friday:

1. Go through Undying Empire edits made through the night & day.

2. Release Undying Empire in the afternoon (12 p.m. to 5 p.m. MST).

3. Do edits that need to be made that have been pointed out throughout the week by patrons/public readers.

Why am I making this change?

1. Writing a chapter in 4 to 5 hours and giving my editors 1 to 2 hours to go over it before releasing it is pretty stressful. I'm typically fine writing like that, but it is hard for editors to have pressure to get it done so I can get to bed before 2 or 3 a.m. at night to release.

I want to put less stress on my amazing editors, who help polish my books. It has been on my mind, and, for some reason, it is very hard for me to do backlog chapters. I've tried to do it with my editors for years and it never sticks.

I especially want to do this to make Val's life easier after having a baby. Their adorable little girl is a handful! It will give a bit more structure and time for the people who enjoy helping to edit and expand my universes.

2. Just a change in life schedule that will make this format easier overall.

Will it still be a chapter a week?

Yes. Just the times of release will change and become more consistent. How many years has this taken me to do? Lol

Final Notes:

First, I'd like to thank all of you who are reading my thoughts and feelings. I love my series (I wouldn't consistently write over 20k words a week for your entertainment for over four years otherwise). I am very thankful for the input and dedication all of you have given me and continue to give me in supporting me in building out these worlds and characters in my head.

I love that I can talk to many of you and get your feedback. Many things in my stories are there because of discussions I've had with you. There is such flexibility in writing, world-building, and character creation that the fans can help enhance (I am only one man, after all). It is thanks to all of you, I have been able to create such rich worlds.

I hope to continue to meet and/or exceed your expectations with the various series I write that you enjoy. If you have any input, my inbox and Discord are always open!
