Hey everyone!

After being abroad a lot these last couple months, I'm now back at my workbench and focusing more on art and on running this Patreon again. I still want to improve it and make it so you lovelies can get more out of it. All the feedback you gave me last month on the inbetween sizes for images was really helpful and I decided to, from now on, give out the mid-sized versions as well, to anyone who is in the $5 tier or above. Thank you so much for the feedback and I hope the new sizes are useful to you!

Now I have another question and I'd love to get your feedback again. I was thinking of creating a Discord server exclusive to patrons. I'd like to have an easier, more direct way of interacting with patrons, rather than just communicating through Patreon messages (it really is a somewhat clumsy messaging system). I think it would also be an easier way of chatting about ideas, getting or providing input or to hang out together.

Would you be interested in such a server? Do you have any previous experiences with other Patreon's Discord servers and is there anything you'd like to tell me to look out for? Any tips?

Comments are very appreciated!

This is the new standard of furry patreons and interaction for a while now, about time you did one too! :D

My only concern is that people like me might already be in a lot of servers, that are not necessarily for Patreon creators and they are hard enough to keep up with as it is, so I tend to prefer direct messages. It is an interesting idea, but I and I am sure others are very busy people and would not be able to really fully utilize it. On the flip side I think a lot of creators do it so things are consolidated to one place, but it is important to keep in mind that you likely won't have all of your patrons on the server because of the aforementioned issues with time and other competing servers.

I really enjoy a well organized discord server! Some have been more successful than others based on how active (or annoying) they are, but based on how well your stream chats usually go I can see you being a good server host and hope you do make one :D

I’d love to see a discord server. I guess the main thing you have to think about is rules for the server. Things like others being able to share links and art, do you want to keep NSFW things in a separate room and do you want to allow political discussion.

Yeah do it up! It will certainly bring us as patrons closer to you and your work! <3

Won't bother me if it's done, but I can't/don't run discord most places I am so it's not something I could join!

I'm into it. A discord is a great way to connect with your fanbase; the group setting really eases the "oh god someone I look up to" anxiety and sets a more casual and inviting tone! My only big concern is moderation, which is just a general rule of mine around group chats. It's not too difficult with relatively small groups, but with bigger groups, an effective moderation team really makes or breaks a discord in my experience. That being said, I don't wanna worry you TOO much about it, it's certainly a bridge you can cross when you get to it. I say give it a shot!

I'd probably join and then it would sit in my list of servers on the left and maybe I'd check on it sometimes. :L

Yea. Discord servers are nice for asking minor questions and getting feedback. I've sometimes had some minor critical feedback on a piece I wanted to give, but leaving it on your FA felt excessive., Discord is great for getting that "Looks great overall, but..." feedback. Major questions I would still ask via Patreon messages.

Never used Discord before, so I'd be up to check it out. Also, how is the Master's going?

VaderSan

The Master's going okay, despite some hiccups. They recently changed the entire curriculum, so that's a bit of a source of stress.
