Hey folks! Here we have this week's new music round up with new dojaaaa! I feel somewhat responsible hehe. We have new Gracie that I'm going to listen to tomorrow in full because today i just wasn't feeling the super sad stuff today. The Renee Rapp was kind of good, i think it just surprised with the production. We also hit a little bit of Anne-Marie, Bastille, and Coi Leray but overall I'd absolutely give this week to Doja. honestly, i wasn't really feeling the new gracie but imma give it another shot tomorrow, i feel like im not sad enough for her right now lol im actually feeling great and IM super hyped to listen to taylor tomorrow - it's gonna be a big old long one starting at 12 EST! Hopefully I'll cya there but if not it'll be here pronto!

As someone who struggles with mental health issues I thought Renée did a really great job of expressing that numbness to the world that comes with deep depression, especially through the snow metaphor and the snow actually making her numb. I also loved the imagery because my mind tied it to a really pivotal scene in the movie adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower where Charlie gets high and does snow angels and ends up in the hospital because of it, the images and emotions of that scene in the movie actually match really well with this song and Perks is one of my all time favorite books. I hope you’ll still give her album a shot when it comes out in August! I think Renée is doing really cool stuff!

snow angel is the only song Reneé Rapp has made with that stark contrast of a production. her EP is full of really catchy ear worm tunes with amazing slow ballads as well and those are pretty consistent, i think it was a deliberate choice for snow angel because it’s supposedly about an OD & addiction.
