Hey HT Fam, we got a little mid week stream for ya. We checked out a few live performances from Sabrina Carpenter, Raye, Fred Again..., and SURPRISE SESAME STREET! I love watching this tiny desk concerts because they have such a unique way of showcasing each artists strengths. Raye with her vocals, fred with his musicianship and sabrina's overall aura. Fred again..'s performance was absolutely amazing, especially since as an initially electronic/dance artist, he had to like readapt and recompose everything. For some context, he made 3 albums, namely Actual Life 1, 2 and 3 during pandemic. In one of his music videos (i've been lost), he explains "I spent most of last year on the phone.It’s a whole long story and I can barely talk about it without crying. I fell in love. And it was literally beyond unreal. Just beyond. And then she got ill. And then life just became something else.". Thankfully, the girl he talks about survived, but the whole 3 albums are actually his journey through grief, and all the mess. All his samples are actually not just looking like from a phone, they are recorded from his phone on the street, at the local pub or just at a poetry open mic night. You can see his pours his whole soul in his music, like at the end of the tiny desk he is barely hanging, his arms lower than the piano like its what he holds on to, what he has left. I saw him live last year. Crazy performer, best concert of my life. Even my friends who came even though they weren't huge fan or didn't know a lot about him said it was the best show they ever went to. I know you try to stay away from personnal context or what the music is about so i'm sorry but i felt like it was needed in this one. Also, you should definitely react to his albums !

Loved that you finally listened to Fred Again <3 I would really recommend watching his Studio Lives of all 3 of his Actual Life albums. They are crazy amazing!
