VISIT TO PUERTO BONITO AFTER THE PANDEMIC PART 1

These two years of pandemic, which for many is equivalent to saying confinement and working from home, have passed almost as if it were a dream. Time froze and now it runs its course again. The last time we visited Puerto Bonito was in the months prior to the ELAN in Ecuador and on this new occasion, the visit was a preview of the trip to Colombia. The trip to the ELAN in Colombia that we never got to do.

Very early in the morning, the day after the unforgettable Hike to the Ungará Fortress, we were already getting ready together with Aldo to leave for Puerto Bonito from San Vicente. Before leaving, we make a short video in which Edith (in nudist mode, of course) explains what we are going to do that day. We get dressed, we rush to the bus terminal and from there to Puerto Bonito about an hour and a half away. The trip passed without incident until reaching the height of Puerto Viejo near Chilca.

We get off the bus and find that there are no "mototaxis" or any transport that can take us to the beach. We were waiting for a long time until a motorcycle appeared that finally took us to Puerto Viejo. In Puerto Viejo we bought some food to take away, it was almost lunch time and then we went to rent the umbrella at the usual restaurant (The one who always rents umbrellas to friends who go to the nudist beach). It was the first time that our friend Aldo arrived in Puerto Bonito, who for a long time had expressed his desire to reach this beach and that day he fulfilled an old dream, so to speak.
