VISCID An modern operation for Delta Green, wherein the agents find that magic has a half-life Introduction This Delta Green operation concerns the disintegration of the group known, at one time, as MAJESTIC-12. For decades after the recovery of apparent alien remains and technology in 1947, this group operated at the highest levels of the American government, using this secret knowledge to remain free of interference. After an internal power struggle in the group brought it down in 2001, the various survivors took what they could, and scattered across the country, building new identities for themselves. Many were scientists, and many exploited the odd knowledge MAJESTIC had recovered for personal financial gain.
 Few of the last MAJESTIC leadership —the steering committee — remain, most having been killed during the “civil war”. One, Gavin Ross, still remains. At 73, he looks a vibrant and lively 60. This is because of MAJESTIC project ARC DREAM, a project bent on unlocking the secrets of human DNA as understood by alien intelligences in contact with the group. Since 2009, long after the disintegration of the group, Ross has been taking ARD-15 — tiny, blue pills created by the ARC DREAM team to arrest cellular degeneration to forestall death. Ross took them only after a cancer screening revealed colon cancer. For the most part, these pills have had little negative effect, except for one thing — they’re almost gone. And once you take ARD-15, you cannot stop. Ross, who has had a long history of licensing benign alien technology to many small front companies, set about hiring a private contractor once in his employ to recreate a batch of ARD-15 from samples of the “culture” still in his possession. This is when the deaths began. THE TRUTH Through paper fronts and various intermediaries, Ross hired a former MAJESTIC employee, Dr. Tibalt Grieves, to recreate ARD-15 — a project Grieves once worked on — from unprocessed samples of the “culture” from which the substance was extracted. Unknown to Ross or Grieves, this “culture”, an odd, milky substance called BLUE BLOOD, is actually the remains of a MAJESTIC agent, on whom the substance was tested; Lt. Daniel Ulee. The substance, uncontrolled, consumed Ulee and rendered him down to undifferentiated cellular material, which was then refined by ARC DREAM into ARD-15. But Ulee did not die. His consciousness is trapped in every cell of the sample, conscious, alive, and quite mad. Grieves, working in a secret home lab in Bothell, WA, accidentally woke the Ulee-thing, which killed him and his girlfriend, consumed portions of their biomass, and escaped. Now, the local police are involved, and various bodies marked by the Blue Blood infection have turned up. Due to the oddities of the case, Delta Green has been alerted. Worse yet, every live sample of Blue Blood over a certain size, is a Ulee-thing in the making. Each sharing a single, insane, desire — to return to “his” wife and child in Montana for some horrific reunion. **VISCID is coming soon!**
