Earlier in the month I was talking about A’s scene and hoping that I can get in a varied amount of options for the MC to react to A’s apparent casual shift in mood. Here’s a little example of one of the choices when the MC isn’t quite so easy about it themself!

The sting of the memories doesn't shift, a sharpness in my tone as I shoot out, "You're doing a great job of staying away from me, I see."

Adam/Ava seems to think over my words carefully with a sharpness of his/her own slicing out from his/her gaze. "Letting you go and staying away from you are very different things."

"Why is that?" I do the worst thing possible after asking that—I look at him/her.

And the way his/her sharp green eyes soften at my attention drowns out the aching pain of the memories.

"The first I hope I am able to do. The latter…that is impossible," he/she admits through a mumble I wonder if I was actually supposed to hear.

I want to know that there are options for people who are straight up mad at A bc I have one detective who is going through that stage of grief with them rn! 😂😭

For real, I wanna be able to just unload on them at some point for what they're doing to my poor Detective. Just get all that frustration and pain out in the open.

This is why I do an N-focused love triangle after doing an A route lmao.
