Just who was Megatron? (Patreon)

Doing some research for a design that I am working on I realized that the modified P-38 that is Megatron is sort of a Nazi. The Walther P-38 was designed by Carl Walther as the service pistol of unified armed forces of Nazi Germany at the beginning of World War II.  However, the highly modified version of Megatron (P-38) was created and made famous by "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", the 1964 MGM television series which ran from 1964 to 1968. The series won the Golden Globe Award for Best TV Show in 1966. The U.N.C.L.E. gun was made in Japan as part of Takara's Microman line under the name "MC-12 Gun Robo" and was later used as the design of the original Transformers Megatron.
