Each movie can be seen separate from the other with the exception of 5 and 6. I'd say why but I'm worried about spoiling you too much. 5 was the first Mission Impossible movie I ever saw and I had an easy time following it. Also you might want to consider wearing your heart monitor for the rest of the films. I know you only wear that for horror films but the suspense in the MI series is crazy.

I know of at least one place where you've listened to the iconic M:I theme: a scene in Shrek 2 that parodies the cable drop scene, with Pinocchio using his strings to drop down into the prison where Shrek, Donkey and Puss are being held.
