Does opening your mouth in direction of sound source help with balancing the shockwave in inner ear? Heard this helps with loud booming fireworks.

Some places in industry they make you double up the protection with foam ear buds and ear muffs.

looking at your location and thinking of practical applications: With that in mind it made me think that park rangers could have a setup like this to scare away bears, just have a pickup truck with it mounted in the back, could even put some motors on it to aim it so whoever could stay in the vehicle and all electronics stay dry inside too.

I wonder if one could build a device with multiple microphones and some servos that would automatically rotate a parabolic dish (effectively) such that it points at a specific target at a specific distance? Essentially, can you automatically redirect some incoming sound to some other distant secondary source (including back at the original source) without losing much volume in the process? In theory, I think you could even have the target receive a *higher* volume than the original single-point target (like a human ear) received since you would be reflecting sound pressure from a wide "net" and directing it all at a more focused point in the distance (opposite of what a speaker normally does, which is takes a very small source point and projects it to a wide area). Of course, you would need to do an excellent job of lining things up just right so you maximize the constructive interference at the target point (as discussed in your previous videos), which is why I think you would want to use some robotics/automation to achieve this.

Infrasound (1Hz-20Hz) is my interest. Could LRAD work in this range?
