Best LRAD System!... For Your Money

We test our DIY LRAD outside with a "volunteer" and then move inside to go over the details and build of the LRAD system. You'll see what speakers, enclosure, amplifier, electronics, etc. we use for this very affordable LRAD. Not a fan of the loud noises. I know the topic is "loud noises", but that doesn't mean that you couldn't edit those parts down a bit

the warning at the beginning is all that's needed. You need the volume to understand what the system does. Good video

Thanks for understanding the blast of sound. We wanted to capture the loudness like you said. It's hard to emphasize the volume in a video.

Thanks again for making quality videos, and practical demonstrations showing how and why things work. I have no problem with it being loud in the video, because it serves a purpose, and i clicked on the video. I hate to be a nancy, but the issue of safety/ethicacy on using such a device, might be hard to define or respect. And i feel it needs some awareness. Such a device is certainly less lethal, but by no means harmless. Looking at policing, use of force, and the situation in the US. I would not advocate using this carelessly. How and when hurting other people is okay, needs to be adressed in very spesific circumstances, and should not be taken lightly. I got a basic level of training for carrying self defence tools, and to use equal force, but it is very complex to apply to a real life situation. Tinnitus has varying degrees of severity, and it is alarmingly easy to contract. Ask anyone who has it, and it becomes clear what a horrid experience it is. No music, hearing aids all day, constant pain, truma, and anxiety. Our ears are sensitive instruments , and i would be pretty pissed if someone disabled my hearing for the rest of my life. It only takes one single bang or noise. Not only for humans, but for deer that can hear a mouse fart 200m downrange. Stay safe. Invest in hearing protection. 🤘

"How and when hurting other people is okay, needs to be addressed in very specific circumstances, and should not be taken lightly." YES! YES! YES! Doesn't mean that hurting people is never okay, just what you said, "should not be taken lightly". I have some training as you do.

Would be cool to see if you could use a parabolic dish, to reflect the sound back at the emitter....
