Hello everyone!

I hope you had a great week. On my end, I must admit I didn't have the greatest of weeks. I had a few bad days where I didn't get work done and spent a lot of time in the "Failure" category of my time management spreadsheet. 16 hours throughout the week, for an average of 14% of my waking hours. My goal this year is to get this number consistently below 10%. I suspect I had many weeks in 2022 where it was well above 20%.

I also regressed on the sleep schedule, so I'm trying to work towards a reasonable schedule once again.

Progress

I broke my microphone's USB cable on Monday. It's actually been heavily damaged for years, because when I first used the microphone, I didn't realize I was putting the cable at a really awkward angle that put a lot of stress on its connector until I almost ripped it off. Well, it finally fell off while I was trying to reposition my pop filter. I already received a replacement but that still put me behind on recording.

Here's how things are looking right now. I fell a bit behind but I'm confident I can make it right up during the week. I'm just now entering a section that's a lot smoother sailing than the first third of the video.

Production livestream

I want to do a production livestream this week. I'm actually thinking of Saturday the 21st! There's also a chance that I set up some way to stream myself recording the music, but I can't make promises on that front.

Progress pictures

Now, unfortunately, I don't have that much cool stuff to show off. A lot of the cool bits of this video are in the smooth shots I was able to take using creative mode flying. Nonetheless, here's some of the stuff I made this week.

Wait... that's not Minecraft!

Showing how the gameplay was recorded at 1/40 or 1/80 speed, as well as talking about the TAS explained video.

The tree of requirements for this run. It took me a long time to make but I'm not 100% satisfied with it. I'll keep it this way for now and later on, if I still have it in me to redo this part from scratch, I'll do it.

Same kind of deal, but this time, as a rapid-fire sequence to summarize the route.

The ruined portal chest loot and which items were actually needed in this run. The odds at the top are the total odds for everything mentioned up to this point, not the odds of whatever I'm currently talking about. This chest loot is about 1/100 because the enchantment needs to be Silk touch.

These shots feature a cool left to right sliding camera that I got by backing up against a wall at a slight angle. Looks really professional!

Yes, that is 1 in 1.8 quintillion.

A side by side comparison showing that golden tools are actually the fastest. Their problem is their absolutely terrible durability.

That's it! Again, a lot of the video is either footage or a background shot I took that isn't really interesting in a screenshot. I hope you're excited for the final video!
