Production update 2022-01-23 (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone!
This is the final stretch!
The video is coming out on January 30th, at 3 pm EST (20:00 UTC) on Twitch and 4 pm (21:00 UTC) on YouTube.
It's been a while since my last update. Last week, I was progressing pretty well - so well, in fact, that I reorganized the schedule to fit the release a week earlier than the original schedule had planned. But then, after I did that, I immediately got a bit behind the new schedule. Then, I had my 3rd vaccine dose and that knocked me out pretty hard for two straight days. So, I did another reorganization and moved everything around again to account for how late I was. Since then, I've been able to follow this new schedule.
Here's how it looks right now:
The days where I finished all this past stuff aren't all exact (I finished some of the earlier stuff a bit later) but the gist of it is there. I was supposed to finish recording today but my voice got tired fast so I'll simply record the conclusion sometime this week.
Now, the progress looks like this:
I have about 36 minutes of edited material, and roughly 9 minutes to go.
Screenshots
Here's a few of the things I got done since the last update.
Breakdown of a complex route, along with alternate camera angles.
Or a map view!
Explanation of Fly Guy's three states.
Fly Guy Manipulation and the three zones to play around with.
The object tangibility radius is quite small. Demonstrated here with a semi-transparent platform (simply achieved by layering two videos, one where I unloaded the platform on the right frame).
More news
In the meantime, two exciting things happened! The first one, I can tell you a bit about. The second is incredibly exciting, but as of right now I can't reveal anything. You will be the first to know about it, though! Hopefully, sometime in the next month.
So, I've been contacted by people from a speedrunning community to work on a glitch reveal and explanation video. I've been drafting a script that's 90% done, and they are currently working on getting some useful videos for me to work with. The video will be on the slightly shorter side (20 minutes or so), I will begin recording it this Friday, and the editing will be a little bit lighter than usual. The subject is a secret, but it won't be for very long, because we're aiming for a release date before mid-February! Yes, you read that right: that would be me releasing two videos in the span of two weeks.
There you go, I hope everyone is excited for the release of Part 4 this week. It feels like it has been a million years! See you on Sunday!
