This episode was weirdly comedic, the pacing feels even faster then the manga. Could have used an extra scene before Jean's "sacrifice" and leave that as the cliffhanger, but guess they're not adding whole scenes this season. Still liked the episode though, especially how Armin's been breaking down - it's been incredible to see him grow from a scaredy cat to a great tactician and now to a just a human on the breaking point. He's still doing his best but the incredible stress of the situation is getting to him as it would to anyone.

Jean's mention of the ashy bones is a reference to Marco in S1. They burned all of the dead bodies from Battle of Trost because risk of epidemic :)
