Any chance you'll check out the new series "Arcane" in the future? I know its not exactly anime, but its very good.

This show has some of the best twists and plot lines. The story telling is just amazingly well done!

Nobody expects the even bigger secondary plot twist just 1 episode later! There's actually a small hint in that Ryuko and Ragyo are the only two characters with hair that's extremely out of the ordinary, the most out there we see otherwise are ones like Mikisugi, Nonon and Tsumugu who presumably have dyed hair (or just the Saiki K anime hair brainwashing) but Ragyo's rainbow hair obviously stands out and her being a life fiber human hybrid is foreshadowed when she's playing with some rainbow coloured life fibers earlier in a dialogue. Ryuko's normal hair meanwhile is perfectly explainable with a bit of red dye, however the fact that it becomes more red when she enters life fiber synchronisation, starts glowing after a while while in it (especially in this episode) and she uses her red hair to sever the life fibers on her brain here are all actually signs that they were life fibers all along. Just another one of the things in this show that can totally be handwaved as just an anime thing but actually has very specific reasoning behind it.
