Stealth Potato

I really love Nui's introduction, the whole scope of the show is suddenly zoomed out with it as we see a more detailed look at Satsuki's mother with it and the same time we see Satsuki panic for the first time which just to imagine what could do that to the strongest character we've seen so far is quite something. Nui herself is menacing in an interesting way as well, her animations are generally a lot more unnatural than everyone else and with her leaning on the text and breaking through the separation on the screen to touch Satsuki's hair it gives her a sort of otherworldly vibe, her OST also really helps here. I've seen other shows use interesting animation methods to separate normal things or people from things that are supposed to be unsettling or otherworldly (the differences in linework between stuff in Jujutsu Kaisen comes to mind) but I've never seen one quite like Nui. Finally meeting the woman with the other half of the scissor is really hype too, finally moving the story along after we've arguably been spending all the time from episode 4 just developing all the various characters we met in 1-3. The ending here where Ryuko blasts out the needle that lets her transform with just the blood pressure spike from her rage is incredible to me, there aren't many cliffhangers with quite the same feel for me, I think HxH had some but beyond that none come to mind.

Has anyone else noticed that the first few chords of the opening sound like the opening from Erased, or is that just me?
