Yeees, the Mio skit is probably my favourite, it's that or the deer. The emotional scenes hit even more with how surprising they are in a series like this, but they still manage to make total sense in-universe.

Mio going crazy is the only skit I had seen before I started watching Nichijou alongside you, this show definitely didn't disappoint. Hakase and Yukko becoming friends is the drug I didn't know I needed, my heart is melting. Take care!

It was, unfortunately, a disastrous commercial flop in Japan so that pretty much burned the bridge for more Nichijou content :(

Another iconic episode leading to the spinning goat gif. And indeed, even though everything is so absurd and nonsensical, suddenly a simple emotional story about acceptance hits just right. I'm sure you picked up on it, but there is Daiku Burger, Daiku Coffee and Daiku corporation. The soccer-go president is the kid of that company flying his daiku helicopter.
