When I was in Elementary School the entire school burned to the ground, thankfully it was during the summer break so no-one was there at the time.

"Smacking it did the trick" is one of the funniest gags in the world, especially living in a post-"blow in the cartridge and turn the SNES on" kind of world. The fact they were able to put some crazy but believable context to it thanks to episode 3's hypnotism skit is so genius. The writing for the gags kinda adds up to make other jokes makes sense, and that's what I appreciate about this as a gag anime
