Just when Nathan thought he would make it, Alices left sole came rushing towards him from the side. It hit him like a wall of moist and heat as his vision and movement was greatly obstructed. 

Alice: Oh, not so fast tiny one. I don't want you to get lost again. You should stay here where it's safe!

He could feel that Alice  was going easy on him with the pressure she put on her feet. He still kept crawling onto her toes, reaching for air and a delusory feeling of freedom.
