Mei sat down on the stairs and removed her shoes. She could feel the sweat between her toes, even if she was wearing her loafers for just a short time. The smell was also quite noticable and she was glad to finally enter the shrine barefoot.

Mei: Ahhhh finally... This feels so much better. I'd rather have some dirt on my soles compared to this moist feeling in my shoes!
