Content

Been getting a handful of messages from folks who are having difficulty accessing content on OneDrive. My hope was that it would be easy... but alas Microsoft hates me. I also found out that Microsoft scans file content and will ban accounts with porn... so thats not the best.

On the bright side, everything is all organized so transferring to a new host will be easy but will just take time (144gb). Thanks for your patience guys, sorry this is such a pain.

What way do you want to access art packs?

Google would probably be best tbh

What about Winzip you could have one for the HD and one for the SD

Taeda

If you upload the content as a password protected .zip file (or regular zip I think, though not sure), then it cannot be scanned. Downside is that what is *in* the file can’t be viewed before downloading, unfortunately.

Mega?

I don't care about the download speed because I use IDM, but the upload / download speed is good for MEGA and Dropbox.

Dropbox is preferable but it feels like either people clear their dropboxes or they get reported or something, because they regularly regularly end up defunct. At least after some time.

tojothethief

Yeah, thats the thing. I would prefer to have a system where folks can pick and choose what they want to download.

Iridiu

thats really weird. Does Microsoft really do that, even with art porn? I'd guess that only applies to irl porn actively. Also i've had no issue with your onedrive whatsoever, i dont know or see what issues people are having with it. Tho i already am actively using OneDrive sooooo yeah.

Anything organized is good. One Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, they all let you organize and pick and choose what to download, or you can just hit one button to get the whole thing. Another option might be to create your own host, maybe rent a server or something. Todex does that and manages his own forum and media site. It's not the best of designs, but it works. It may be way too much work for what you get though. Maybe one of those "build a website" places would work? I dunno, just ideas.

OneDrive definitely doesn't make it easy for people to "Bulk Download" everything, or even folders. Even Files within folders, the moment I select more than 2 items, the download option just goes poof, Makes it really frustrating when there's so many clicks involved to just save a single picture. I'd vote Dropbox, or Google Drive since both will allow you to "shift select" and bulk download as much as one wants at a time.

Mega also has all these options for previews and selecting single files or folders for download. And as long as the files are not to big, no client apps are needed, but they exist for all platforms and work well

Everyone keeps saying Mega, but doesn't everyone remember the dumb restrictions Mega has on download limits, and the throttling they do past 1GB? I for one don't want to have to pay another $5 a month to Mega just to get one of their plans to save an unlimited amount without being throttled to 20-50KB/sec. Mega may be good for some stuff, but honestly, money is better paid towards a Dropbox Pro account, or paying for a Google One account, both of which won't start throttling people that try to save mass amounts of stuff from it. :) As well as both "existing for all platforms". "Mega Free account bandwidth limit.- ~1 GB (variable) every 6 hours." Those kinds of limitations are incredibly annoying, especially if I'm wishing to bulk-save a lot of things.

First: Google has limits as well. Not only per download, but also per file, shared by all users: "This file has been downloaded to often recently" Second: Mega offers 15 GB of storage and they do almost not care about the content. Sure, not enough for all that, but free is impossible for that much data. Google is known to limit whole accounts (including mail and everything) if they think something is strange about the files. Not much different with Dropbox, but they can not mess with tojo's e-mail. Yeah the 1GB limit is annoying, but their app will resume downloads automatically. And everything seems better than OneDrive. I did not know Microsoft was so far behind on user friendliness. Mega is just the cheapest I know, while still having a decent user interface.
