I swarm of incandescent ethereal warriors flooded down the mountain, like a cascading avalanche of spectral blue; their swords drawn, and battle cries wailing. The mighty army of heaven wasn’t going to let the Monkey King and his cohort make it through the mountains that once held him prisoner. With a quick fluent motion, the king swaddled the tiny monk with the tip of his tail, hoisting him out of harms way to deal with the swarm of pests without worry.

A few broke ranks and made it ahead before the others, getting ready to strike the giant man beast, but before their blade could make contact with the simian’s golden skin, the gargantuan King slammed his staff down into the ground, rupturing the very earth beneath it and setting the warrior off balance. He clammered and staggered to regain himself but before he had the chance, the King’s enormous foot came crashing down, crushing the warrior like a beetle before being lifted in the air stuck to the sole like nothing more than debris.

The Monkey King turned his gaze to the rest of the army that encroached on his newfound freedom. Normally a fight like this would amuse the enormous figure but after spending aeons trapped beneath a mountain, all that he could bother to give was a scowl plastered on his face. He would not be tricked or forced into submission ever again, especially not by the bureaucracy of Heaven.

He let the limp ethereal warrior peel from his foot and crash to the ground emotionless before getting ready to deal with the rest. “THIS is Heaven’s Army??? Pathetic…”

This was a comm for my good friend AirbendingKwaKwa Of his characters Olly (giant) and Everett (tiny) in a twist on the story of Sun Wukong in Journey to the West!
