Clearly we're living in an era where games can launch in a terrible state and still put the work in to turn things around. Cyberpunk, No Man's Sky... redemption is possible.

But it's hard not to view five months of work just to slap a 60fps update onto a game as busted and abandoned as RedFall as a big waste of everyone's time. The game's faults run so much deeper than framerate.

It's being reported that it cost CD Projekt RED over a hundred million dollars to turn Cyberpunk around, and that's a game that, while janky, most people still saw a lot of promise in at launch. I doubt anyone feels RedFall is worth that much money, so at this point why even bother with the band-aids (I'm sure the 3 concurrent players on Steam are thrilled)? All it's doing is reminding everyone this failure exists. XD

And those 3 concurrent players will complain because the update broke something they relied on. XD

Redfall? Is that an RDR2 clone? Yeah, some games are better left to silently die than try updating.
