Nintendo is great at what they do, and it obviously works for them, but I'd still really love to see them take a crack at a true next-gen system with some power behind it.

Nintendo feels kinda like Apple in some ways. They have such a devoted fanbase, they don't actually have to try very hard with their consoles to get people to buy them. Of course, it doesn't hurt that unlike other systems they guard their proprietary stuff with extreme jealousy. I doubt I would ever buy another Nintendo again if Zelda/Mario was on PS5, for example. I already never buy games for Switch that I can literally get on any other console or PC.
