Now that I'm actually underway with working on the Ethan and Lucas reboot, I figure I can dispense with "soon" and "eventually", and start giving you, my awesome Patrons, some specific details in regular updates. So here's where Issue #1 is at: Panel-cut and lettered: 28/28 Pages Penciled: 26/28 Pages Inked: 0/28 Pages Colored: 0/28 Pages As you can see, I'm almost done with the penciling, which is the most time-consuming aspect on my side of things. I do two passes of pencils; a rough pass and a detail pass. This means that inking really boils down to tracing, since I've really already placed all of the detail in the pencils phase. So inking should go fairly quickly once I get there. At that point I'll hand the pages off to a colorist. I'll keep making updates every week or two in the above fashion, so you can see how close we're getting to releasing the issue. Now, once the issue is done, two things will happen. First, all $3+ Patrons will receive a PDF of the whole issue. Second, the issue will begin releasing on the website, 1 page a day. So that's a month worth of updates that will be taken care of. What will I be doing during that month? Working on the next issue. Issue #2 of the Ethan/Lucas story, and Issue #2 of the Starcaster Chronicles. Having a month free to get a jump on issue #2 should mean that the wait for issue 2 will be considerably less than the wait for issue #1. And my plan from there on out is just to alternate working on issues of Ethan and Lucas and The Starcaster Chronicles. So there it is. I'll provide another update in a week or two!
