Scott is not factoring in Zeke's motive. The desire to survive because he has a bomb in his head that his 'master' could blow up at any second is clearly a strong motivator. When Zeke snapped Ethan's neck to 'stop' Ethan to escape, he understood Ethan was going to survive. Even AFTER he snapped his neck, he was shocked and remembered that Ethan said that every time he dies it hurts, he showed remorse... the entire scene showed he had grown.

Due to Scott's Trauma he's not going to see it that way. The other view is to a hammer everything is a nail. Ironically a good example of this is Spy X Family. Yor first problem solving thought is Murder as she has been an assassin since her formative years then she is shown tapping it down because she learned that isn't socially accepted and even that is slips when she is tired or enraged. Then you have Loid who views problems to be solved through espionage tactics and efficiency. Anya views problem solving through hidden information gathering due to her psychic powers and admiration of spies. There is the added complication of Zeke not being biological. He'll have some of the same thoughts processes as his creator was human. He's not going to have the same impedance as a earth derived biological creature. If you play Warhammer 40k think of the Orks. They don't have genders. Reproduce through spores. They have no interest romance because of that. They do have interest in battle as they were designed for it and for that to be fun. The whole society is based on that lens. What is Zeke's core outlook based off of?
